Classic with nails: See here how we varnish, stretch and handcraft a Dutch Art Giclée Canvas Reproduction in our unique style classic with nails. After stretching the Giclée canvas print on 2 cm thick stretcher bars, we finish the sides of this reproduction of James by Tein Lucasson in a traditional way; we use custom-made nails and hammer them in by hand for that old fashioned look.James by Tein Lucasson

Giclée printing: Our reproductions are printed on museum-quality canvas of 380g. We use a Giclée print technique that guarantees over 100 years of colour permanence. The HDR inks are sprayed on the canvas layer by layer, with 800 nozzles per colour x 10 channels for a total of 8000 nozzles.
Varnish: We then apply several coats of varnish by hand to make the colours come to life and to protect against moisture and UV light. The canvas is stretched by hand on stretcher bars made with timber from sustainable forestry.

James has always had great taste. As a kid, he was interested in eating adult things, like anchovies and artichokes. During summer he preferred help the farmer make olive oil, instead of playing ball. His mother knew he would be a great cook one day. He was never a great student. When James was 14, Mother arranged for him to leave school and got him a cleaning job in the finest restaurant in town. They will provide him a proper education, she thought. Good moms know their kids best. Great things happened for chubby James.
Tein Lucasson, James.
