Classic with nails: See here how we varnish, stretch and handcraft a Dutch Art Giclée Canvas Reproduction in our unique style classic with nails. After stretching the Giclée canvas print on 2 cm thick stretcher bars, we finish the sides of this reproduction of Betty by Tein Lucasson in a traditional way; we use custom-made nails and hammer them in by hand for that old fashioned look.
Giclée printing: Our reproductions are printed on museum-quality canvas of 380g. We use a Giclée print technique that guarantees over 100 years of colour permanence. The HDR inks are sprayed on the canvas layer by layer, with 800 nozzles per colour x 10 channels for a total of 8000 nozzles.
Varnish: We then apply several coats of varnish by hand to make the colours come to life and to protect against moisture and UV light. The canvas is stretched by hand on stretcher bars made with timber from sustainable forestry.

Betty always sees the bright side of things. She just doesn’t like to doubt people or situations. Every time she gets into a situation where people take advantage of her goodness, it feels like a door is being shut in her face. She doesn’t get why this keeps on happening to her. After the seventh door slammed, she decided to buy curtains for her house. She then bought a cat and ignored anybody who wanted anything from her. Betty lived happily ever after with her cat.
Tein Lucasson, Betty.
