Gallery wrap 4,5 cm: Watch this video to see how we make your reproduction. The canvas is stretched by hand on 4,5 centimetres thick wooden stretcher bars. The term "gallery wrap" refers to an image that appears on the sides of the stretcher bars as well as the front. This canvas hangs strong and bold on your wall and does not need a frame.

Giclée printing: Watch the video
We print the reproductions on museum-quality canvas of 380g. Printing a Giclée is done with the utmost precision. The HDR inks are sprayed on the canvas layer by layer, with 800 nozzles per colour x 10 channels for a total of 8000 nozzles. This technique guarantees over 100 years of colour permanence. The end result is characterized by great fineness and image depth, very high sharpness, detail and deep colours.

We then apply several coats of varnish by hand to make the colours come to life and to protect against moisture and UV light. The canvas is stretched by hand on stretcher bars made with timber from sustainable forestry.

About the original artwork
Amor Victorious
This reproduction on canvas of Amor Victorious by Michelangelo Merisi da Caravaggio is made with the greatest possible care to ensure that the colours are very close to the original painting. Amor Vincit Omnia is seen as one of Caravaggio’s masterpieces, painted in 1602 for Vincenzo Giustiniani. He was a regular commissioner of Caravaggio’s art and a big fan. We can immediately recognise Cupid, the god of Love, by his wings and the two arrows he holds. Scattered around him we see musical instruments, military gear, books and drawing equipment. Above this stands Cupid: Love Conquers All. Interestingly, Cupid is not shown as an idealised god, but as a realistic human boy.
In a playful and sensual pose he smiles at the viewer, his wing lightly touching his thigh and the folds in his skin clearly visible, making him almost tangible. The objects beneath him are also not the usual obstacles lovers might encounter, they are civilised values of music, art and valiance. Caravaggio might be trying to say that the power of earthly, sexual love triumphs over those civilised notions.
