About the original:
Vincent van Gogh (1853-1890), Pink Peach Trees (Souvenir de Mauve) 1888, Oil on Canvas, 73 x 59,5 cm, Collection Kröller-Müller Museum.
Giclée printing: Watch the video
We print the reproductions on museum-quality canvas of 380g. Printing a Giclée is done with the utmost precision. The HDR inks are sprayed on the canvas layer by layer, with 800 nozzles per colour x 10 channels for a total of 8000 nozzles. This technique guarantees over 100 years of colour permanence. The end result is characterized by great fineness and image depth, very high sharpness, detail and deep colours.
Varnish: Watch the video
We then apply several coats of varnish by hand to make the colours come to life and to protect against moisture and UV light. The canvas is stretched by hand on stretcher bars made with timber from sustainable forestry.

This reproduction on canvas of Pink Peach Trees (Souvenir de Mauve) by Vincent van Gogh is made in close cooperation with the Krӧller-Müller Museum, where the original painting is hanging in the Van Gogh Gallery. When the fruit trees in Arles are in bloom in the spring of 1888, Van Gogh paints them nearly every day. Thus, in a short period he produces fourteen paintings and several drawings and sketches of the blossoming trees. He considers Pink peach trees one of the most successful in the series. In the evening of the day on which Van Gogh makes this painting, he finds a letter from his sister, who writes to tell him that Anton Mauve has died. This painter was not only his cousin by marriage; he also taught him to paint in oils and watercolour. Van Gogh decides to dedicate the work to him.
He writes to his brother Théo that he was moved and affected by the news, and I wrote on my painting Souvenir de Mauve Vincent & Théo and if you think its good as it stands well send it to Mrs Mauve in both our names. (. .. ) It Seemed to me that in memory of Mauve we needed something that was both tender and very cheerful and not a study in a more serious key than that.
